| From the commander ... Welcome to the Website of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Air Squadron. Our Squadron consists of volunteers who are passionate about aviation and dedicated to community service, particularly law enforcement. We collaborate closely with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department under the professional leadership of Sheriff Scott Jones, Undersheriff Mark Iwasa, and Lieutenant Mike Jones, Division Commander Metropolitan & Air Operations. In recent years the Air Squadron has supported several of the Sheriff's Department community projects including "Cops for Kids", the "Star 6 Memorial" as well as financial contributions to the family's of officers killed in the line of duty. The Squadron meets once a month (except December) and will typically include a guest speaker connected with law enforcement and aviation. If you are a pilot and aircraft owner with an interest in community service, I invite you to contact me to inquire about our organization.
